About Me

My name is Hagit Zucker, I am a counselling and educational psychologist accredited by the HCPC and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (CPsychol).

My therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic, with the integration of cognitive-behavioral techniques when needed. I place strong emphasis on understanding emotional experience, relational patterns, and the ways in which past and present relationships shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. At the same time, I draw on CBT-informed strategies to support practical coping, emotional regulation, and change in unhelpful patterns when useful.

I believe that sensitive, compassionate, and attuned psychotherapy can foster meaningful and lasting change, improving overall quality of life. I see therapy as a collaborative process, and I am committed to working together with clients to explore difficulties, deepen understanding, and support growth and change over time.

I have experience working with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relational and social challenges, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, and the impact of stressful life events. A significant part of my work involves supporting students and young adults as they navigate these experiences, particularly during periods of transition and change.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in a psychodynamic framework, with a strong emphasis on relationships and on how early experiences with significant others shape emotional life, relational patterns, and expectations of others. In therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to explore how these relational dynamics may appear in their current relationships and influence their sense of self and overall well-being.

I have also supported many individuals through various transitions, such as entering new educational or work settings, relocating, or adapting to new environments.

I hold a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Psychology from Ben-Gurion University, where my research focused on potential ways to moderate high inhibition in individuals with restrictive eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa.

My professional training took place in Israel, where I interned as a psychologist. During this period, I provided therapy for children and adolescents, conducted parent consultations, and carried out comprehensive psychological assessments. I also worked closely with educational settings - including schools, nurseries, and special educational needs institutions, offering consultation and guidance to support students’ wellbeing and development.

Following my internship, I worked as a senior group therapist at a private institute in Tel Aviv, a centre well known for its focus on developing social skills through individual and group therapy.

Currently, and alongside my private practice, which I run in both London and Oxford, I also work as a psychologist at Monday.com, where I provide short-term therapy and emotional support to employees. In this role, I help individuals manage workplace stress, enhance emotional regulation, and develop strategies to maintain wellbeing and balance in a demanding professional environment.

Over the past decade, I have continued to deepen my professional knowledge through seminars and courses at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic, the Anna Freud Centre, and the Institute of Psychoanalysis in London. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches and have enriched the therapeutic work I do today.

I am also a co-founder of Insight Centre, a specialized ADHD and cognitive assessment centre focused on evaluations and follow-up interventions.
